Shamrock Shuffle 8k Training 2016: Week 5

Week 5 was a decent week of training for the Shamrock Shuffle 8k. Since the previous week was kind of a bust because of my knee acting up (plus just being generally busy), I decided to do something about it. I got myself over to Sports Authority and purchased a brand new pair of shoes: the Asics Gel-Excite 3s! I’m a pretty simple person when it comes to my running shoes. The one time I was fitted at a running store, the shoes simply didn’t feel as good as the ones I picked out for myself. Weird, right? So, it’s Sports Authority and Asics all the way for me! img_3417.jpg I really enjoy the pink and blue color combo on these shoes :). Fun fact: I just realized that I had Asics Gel-Excite 2s a couple years ago (I can be seen wearing them in my Ragnar Relay 2014 recap!) … *tear* so much nostalgia… Now I’ve upgraded to the 3s! Last Week’s Workouts Monday: 50 minutes on the elliptical Tuesday: Rest Wednesday: 2 mile run + weights Thursday: 3.5 mile tempo run Friday: Rest Saturday: Rest Sunday: 6 mile run with Oksana! Will you only wear one particular brand of running shoes?
