Welcome to the first week of Shamrock Shuffle training where I have not followed the training plan 100%. I am happy to have made it to week 4 before slipping up 🙂 The main reason I had some difficulty this week was due to knee pain. My left knee has been pretty wonky since I started running regularly in 2010. It’s OK most of the time, but I have a lot of pain when my shoes get old, I run too much, etc. This time, my knees were hurting (most likely) because I really needed new shoes. Due to knee pain and a stressful week, I didn’t complete all of my workouts fully. Oh well, that’s life sometimes. Played indoor mini golf with my friends instead for Britta’s birthday 🙂
Sunday: 3.5 miles. Was supposed to be 5 miles, but my knees went bananas during this run. I feel a little annoyed that my week of workouts was so lame, but oh well. You win some, you lose some. Have you ever played indoor mini golf??
