Shamrock Shuffle 8k Training 2016: Week 2

It’s yet another Workout Wednesday! Is it me, or is time just flying by? March is coming next week. Wow. This time of year is a tricky one for me because (at least here in Chicagoland) winter has been dragging on and on, but there is finally some light at the end of the tunnel. Some days, I feel happy to run outside, and other days I can’t even imagine running anywhere but the treadmill. We had some amazing weather last week. I even took one of my runs OUTSIDE – so rare for me in the winter months. Sara has been inviting me to a bunch of Fitbit challenges, which have motivated me to keep up with training. I am really proud of myself this training cycle because my motivation has been on point. This is despite the fact that last week was extremely busy for me. I have stuck with the plan pretty well, which makes me so happy – I really want to beat last year’s Shamrock Shuffle time! Last Week’s Workouts Monday: 30 minutes on the elliptical Tuesday: Rest Wednesday: Rest Thursday: 30 minute tempo run, followed by some planks Friday: 4 miles with Oksana Saturday: 3.5 miles OUTSIDE img_3324.jpg Sunday: Walked to the grocery store. This counts as cross-training, right? Ha. Week 2 of Shamrock Shuffle Training is complete! Onto Week 3!
