Happy Wednesday! I haven’t updated you on my workouts in quite some time. This is mostly due to my workouts being kind of boring/I’m not on a training plan/I’m not running
much at all. Instead, I’m doing a lot of this:
I enjoy drinking beer while playing The Sims 4 in my college sweatpants more than I enjoy running these days. Well, that’s not exactly true. I am working out 4 days per week, but just not running. Instead, I have been using the elliptical and weights. Never fear, though, I am really looking forward to training for The Shamrock Shuffle starting around the end of January. My legs are craving a good run; I might do a bit of running to prepare for my training plan before the actual plan starts. I think that’s a really good idea either way 🙂 I didn’t feel too out of shape while running the turkey trot a couple weeks ago, so there’s hope for me to start running again without too much drama.
Other fitness issues that are on my mind lately? My desire to lose a few pounds. I’m tracking my calories here and there, but really need to up my veggie intake and reduce my junk food intake. I’m thinking about starting a salad challenge, which I did a few years ago and had a lot of success. It was something along the lines of eating a salad every day for 30 days. Perhaps I will start this challenge for the new year, since that’s a time of motivation for all of us! We will see. For now I’ll try and stick with “moderation,” which is NOT easy this time of year. I really don’t want to put too much pressure on myself right now. You only live once!
