Before I start, everyone should check out the post I’m featured in about my financial views, strategies, and experiences at Saving Money In Your Twenties!! If you’re into saving money like I am, then SMIYT is the place to go for budgeting tips 😀 So, I’m finally back with Workout Wednesday after taking a break last week! Sadly, I caught another cold and had trouble getting myself to work out or even write a post about not working out. I’ve come to the conclusion that taking care of myself stopped being a real priority since starting my internship. This obviously needed to change and taking things super easy last week was definitely the right choice for me 🙂 The Last Two Weeks of Workouts: Monday 02/02: 1 hour of yoga Thursday 02/05: 2.15 miles in 22 minutes Saturday 02/07: 2.3 miles in 23:36 minutes Thursday 02/12: 30 minutes on the elliptical Friday 02/13: Interval running (ran between 6.6 and 7.2 for .25mi and walked for .10mi in between) Five workouts in fourteen days? Not my finest work, but I was sick and really needed to take it easy. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Now for an ambitious (for me) training plan. I’ve decided what I’d like to officially do for my Shamrock Shuffle training and put it into a nice little chart for myself. Each week, there are 3 runs and 1 bonus workout if I’m feeling energetic. These workouts can be completed on any day of the week. It doesn’t matter as long as I get them done. My schedule varies and I already have a tough time juggling everything, so I’m going to squeeze in exercise wherever I can. The bonus workout can be anything from that list all the way to the right OR whatever else gets me moving. I doubt I’ll do anything except for yoga as a bonus workout, but you never know. I love that 3 miles will be my long run for the week… Gotta start somewhere 🙂 I’m really excited to get started on this training plan! It’s just another way to get me on track for marathon training!!! Do you run when you’re sick?
