Getting into the Holiday Spirit

This is going to be a super quick post because my laptop decided to go out of its mind this morning. Normally I write my posts the night before, but I procrastinated and decided to write before work. This weekend I headed to Andy’s. We went ice skating and then ate ice cream. The weather wasn’t cold at all (yay!), but we stuck with a wintery theme πŸ™‚ IMG_2017.JPG   After that, I headed to The Nutcracker on Ice with Annie! We skated in the show as kids and try to see it every year. This year’s main character (Clara) was played by a girl who was in preschool or something back when I knew her. I felt super old. The show seemed to have a new director because it was much different this year – in a good way, actually!! I loved it πŸ™‚ IMG_2026.JPGThe only decent picture I took of the ice was during resurfacing at intermission, BAHA. The Zamboni had a nutcracker on it, but you can’t really tell. It was cute, though. I wish I could show you the sets because OPRAH apparently donated money to revamp them this year because it’s the Nutcracker’s 40th anniversary. Annie and I went out to dinner and then toured around Wilmette, a fancy suburb, to see some of the Christmas light displays. Well, we mostly went there to see Christmas on Cleveland Street, which is a house that does a light show along to Christmas music! IT WAS SO COOL. Watch this video: I have to go! Talk to you guys soon πŸ™‚ What is your favorite holiday tradition?
