Thanksgiving Weekend and The Four Survey

Happy Monday and first day of December! I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Mine was pretty great; Andy and I drove up to Indiana after I ran the Evanston Flying Turkey 5k with Britta on Thursday morning. I got to see my grandpa, aunts, uncles, cousins, and two of my cousins’ babies (the next generation of the family is HERE)! Sadly, I had to work all day on Friday and a half day on Saturday. I suppose it kept me out of the stores! Plus, I feel really lucky that I don’t work retail. I did seasonal work for Forever 21 in college and my first day of work there was on BLACK FRIDAY. It was a pretty awful experience. Andy got the flu on Friday, so we had to miss Friendsgiving in Milwaukee on Saturday (they’re more his friends than mine, so it would’ve been weird if I went alone, haha). With an open schedule for the rest of the weekend, I decided to get crackin’ on some homework. Oksana was in town for the holiday, so we had a gym/Starbucks date on Saturday after I worked. I can’t stop drinking green tea lattes. Somebody stop me. They cost $1.50 more than my usual iced coffee! Yikes. But… so delicious!!! IMG_1916.JPG   On Sunday, I slept in until 10am and went straight out for a lovely run. The weather in Chicago has been unseasonably warm. I enjoyed a 5k in 40* weather and dreamed of marathon training next summer. I really think I’m going to register for the 2015 Chicago Marathon 😀 I’m doing a black & white photo challenge on Facebook because my friend Katie challenged me to do so. This photo makes my run from Sunday morning look super dreary, but I promise the weather was fantastic! It was too hot in my long-sleeved shirt. IMG_1918.JPG   The rest of Sunday was spent writing this post, doing homework, and attending the Advent dinner at my old church with some friends. It was a great weekend even though I had to work for some of it and Andy got sick. Switching gears, I really wanted to take The Four Survey. No one tagged me, but I have a weird love for surveys. It reminds me of the MySpace days. I used to go on there to take a survey in an effort to avoid homework 😉
