This week’s edition of Gratitude Friday is extra special because I finally accepted an internship offer! I stressed over interviewing for internships ever since starting my graduate program back in the Fall of 2012. A year-long internship is required to finish school and many people have trouble finding one. I not only secured an internship, but scored a really good one with a well-respected agency 😀 I’m grateful and excited to get work experience in my field next year!! I’m grateful that my work will revolve around something meaningful to me for the first time in my life! This is aside from my volunteer work, which is meaningful to me too 🙂 I’m grateful that I don’t have to do anymore interviewing until after graduation. I’m grateful that I’m really graduating NEXT YEAR! Graduation will come around before I know it, and I really can’t wait to begin my (second, but way better and what I actually want to do) real career. I’m grateful that I saw this cute dog in a parked car the other day.
Sometimes I creep on dogs, what of it? I’m grateful that I get to take a break from running this week. I did a cross-training session and two short runs this week. I’m taking the weekend off exercise and will return in full force next week 🙂 Speaking of the weekend, I’m grateful that I’m spending this weekend in Madison, WI! I guess I hang out in Wisconsin a lot 🙂 Andy and I are going to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and a friend’s birthday. Let the green beer drinking begin! So classy. I’m grateful to have seen GRASS on Monday. We had a pretty heavy snowfall the next night, but it was a lovely 24 hours of warmth. This weekend should be nice out too! Let’s hope that’s true; I’m starting to believe that this winter is here to stay.
I’m grateful for my job. Sometimes I forget that, while I don’t have my dream job, my work has been so flexible with my schedule. Plus, my coworkers are pretty great to work with every day 🙂 I’m grateful that the Shamrock Shuffle is SOON! I can’t wait to race! Plus, once the Shamrock Shuffle is done, I’ll get to start Ragnar/half marathon training. So exciting!! Have a good weekend and BE GRATEFUL!
