It must be said that I’ve felt way happier since starting to write weekly gratitude lists! There’s an extra spring in my step and smile on my face – nothing is better than feeling good about what I currently have, rather than worrying about the things I lack. I’m definitely not going to quit this healthy habit 🙂 I’m grateful to be spending this weekend hanging out with my best gal pal, Britta! We’re going to have a girly sleepover, complete with wine, old movies, and valentine making. I’m grateful to have checked off a scary item from my to-do list yesterday. I don’t mean to toot my own horn (toot toot), but I really had it together this week! There is still SO MUCH to do, but I’m making significant progress 🙂 I’m grateful that my school has a gym because I really didn’t want to drive 30 minutes to my actual gym on my day off yesterday (it’s near my work, but not my home. I live closer to school than work). Saving time and gas FTW! I’m grateful for the many factors that contribute to my workout motivation. Fitbit and GymPact are especially helpful lately! They both really have me on a good exercise streak. Meeting my step goal and getting paid to work out are VERY important to me. I think I’ll write a post about each app because they’re both wonderful in my book. The world must know all about how they’ve enhanced my life!
Tangent: Is it bad that I’m sore after 12,000 steps yesterday? Most days I do about half that number of steps, so this was a pretty big accomplishment. I’m slowly working towards a 10,000 step average, but it’s hard when the weather is awful! I’m grateful that my laptop still works. I thought it was going to break about 6 months ago, but it’s still trucking along! This is so lucky because I’m trying to save as much money as possible for when I do my internship next year (and can’t work very much for actual money as a result). I’m grateful for Starbucks because it keeps me productive. I always motivate myself with delicious coffee and get so much more work done than when I’m at home. I’m also grateful for the gift cards people gave me for Christmas, which have funded all of my 2014 Starbucks trips!
Even my Starbucks trip at Disney! Check out that cute Disney cup 🙂 I’m grateful that Sara started her own blog! I have my first REAL LIFE blog buddy! Everyone check out Rungry Girl. I’m grateful that it didn’t snow last night! I thought that it snowed so I left for work extra early to clean off my car. Luckily, I didn’t need to! I guess I should look at my weather app more often… My windows are frosted over, so I couldn’t see outside this morning until I walked out the door 😛 I’m grateful that I enjoyed this frozen yogurt BEFORE seeing that high fructose corn syrup was on its ingredient list. Highly unfortunate because the froyo was so delicious and looked somewhat healthy!
I’m grateful that I have Mel’s Miles! Blogging has been an amazing creative outlet for me and I have no intention of stopping 🙂 Thank you to my readers for being there during my first full month of blogging! I’m grateful for YOU!
